Ever since Shock n Awe started in 2009 the emphasis was always to showcase the lighter weight classes.
We were the first show to really push the UK’s flyweight division and even right up to today this is a division that features the most come fight night.
It’s had the most main even slots, the highest percentage of fights per event and is easily one of the most exciting divisions we have.
On October 19th we will get to witness two of the UK’s top amateur fighters squaring off for a belt that has only been held by highly ranked amateurs.
Making his second appearance on Shock n Awe will be unbeaten sensation Kanye Isacc who sports a flawless 4.0.0. record. His last visit to the South coast saw him pick up a fast knee bar victory over Tommy Clarke, Billys brother. It was a slick finish that stunned the home town crowd and it will be something Kanye will want to again en route to picking up the flyweight belt.
His opponent is one of the south coasts most popular fighters, Billy Clarke. It’s easy to see why this young man is so popular. Along with his incredible fighting style and slick Jiu Jitsu, he is also a very likeable person. Billy always has a smile on his face and it’s difficult not to warm to him whenever you speak to him. What is dramatic is just how different he is in the cage. Towering at 6ft, which at 57kg (125lb) is pretty big, he poses some real problems for any opponent and has now turned himself into a real prospect.
Can Kanye spoil the party and beat his second Clarke brother or will Billy take the belt and a little revenge back to Mad Hatters MMA.
